Wilson Audio has finally released details about there new speaker Sasha W/P. There was a teaser film and just rumors coming out of Wilson until today. This is the 9th version of Dave Wilson’s original Watt.
Here is the list of the big changes:
- All-new Architecture with new Midrange Enclosure Material
- New Midrange Driver
- Tweeter from the MAXX 3
- New Woofer
- Revised Crossovers
- Price did not change much from Watt Puppy 8 $26,900.00
I have seen the changes over the last few years and most of the changes have been subtle when looking at the speaker from the out side. With the improvement in Wilson’s technology in construction they have changed the texture of the head. It is obviously staying close to the original pyramid shape, only they have taken the hard edges off and given it a more artful look. The x material is up to 3 times thicker and they have changed the internal bracing. The bass module has been made larger and now the speaker is -3dB at 20Hz.
The midrange driver is a more basic version that is in there reference speaker the Alexandria X-2 series 2. They are using a new cellulose fiber/paper composite midrange. This will make the speaker sound more musical.

New Midrange Driver for Sasha W/P
The wire attachments look different with the Sasha W/P. The cross over for the midrange driver and tweeter has been taken out of the head and placed in a sealed area inside the bass module.
I will post when we have ours display up and ready for listening. Just email me or call me and I would be happy to get you some quality time with the new Sasha W/P/
